Important Dates Application Deadline: Friday, April 18, 2008 Scholarship Winner Announcement: Monday, April 21, 2008 Scholarship Presentation: Saturday, May 17, 2008 (tentative) Eligibility High school Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, and full-time college students (10th to 16th grade) with demonstrated academic effort who have participated in the Big Sibling Program. Past scholarship applicants may reapply; however, the maximum cumulative total scholarship award from BSP is $1,000 and priority is given to newer applicants. Selection Criteria 1. Scholarship application 2. Official transcript 3. One essay 4. We are happy to announce that the Big Sibling Program (BSP) is offering $1,000 and $500 scholarships toward the college education of worthy students. BSP not only sees college as an important step in pursuing a succesful career but also in the maturation of a person from an adolescent to an adult. 2003 was the inaugural year for our scholarship program, and we hope in future years to expand this program to assist even more students. |
